Dhoom Machale Navratri-DAY 8 : BMB continues to get support for Organ Donation

BMB President Dr. Rajesh Panchal said “We need more people to reach our target of 50000 organ donation pledges. We welcome all to come & spread the word on Organ Donation Awareness as well as enjoy the Navratri at our venue.”
The highlight of the evening was a dance by the children of Dr A.V Mehta School for Underprivileged Children, which has helped more than 8500 families by schooling their children with physical or mental challenges.
This is run by the organization V.D Indian Society for Mentally Challenged. The dance show by them was appreciated by all garba lovers.
The Chief Guests were Founder of the NGO Chingari Shakti Foundation; Mrs Pinky Rajgarhia & Nilaben Soni. Mrs Pinky Rajgarhia is Mrs Asia Universe 2017 & is active in supporting woman’s empowerment.
Mrs Pinky Rajgarhia spoke about the need of organ donation awareness & gave her support to the cause. Corporator Mr. Jadish Oza from Dahisar also gave his support for the cause.
Kidney Specialist Dr Umesh Khanna said “People have a misconception that those who have Diabetes or other such ailments cannot donate their organs.....
....We want people to know that even those people who have diabetes or blood pressure can donate after death. Let the doctors determine your condition at that time & decide which organs can be safely transplanted to others.”
Surgeon Dr Nitin Divte said “Even though India is one of the world’s most populous countries, we do not yet have enough awareness or enough organ donors......
.......People need to know that organ donation is the biggest donation you can give. Kindly pledge your organs & inform your family, so after death, your family will bring smiles on the face of a person who needs a heart, lung, or kidney to survive.”
