This year the summer has been one of the hottest. Keeping things cool and staying in fashion is therefore quite a hard task. Vivian Dsena agrees and shares his fashion mantra to beat the heat. He also talks about being monsoon ready. After all, Mumbai monsoons are quite a thing. “Recently I have come across something which is very cool. There is a combination which I tried and liked. So basically it hydrates you also and it keeps you energetic as well, which is a cold espresso shot with some ice cubes and coconut water with no milk and it doesn’t let you feel thirsty too.M. It increases your resting metabolism too. I just tried it and saw how the effects are. I am a science student, so I know what I am saying. After I heard one of my friends talking about it, I tried it and was happy that I did,” he says.
Ask if he has brought something specifically for summer or monsoons and Vivian adds, “Mumbai doesn’t have winters (Laughs). My normal clothes are only my summer clothes. I usually wear track pants, shorts, t-shirts, caps and chappals all the time. And the same applies to all the seasons in Mumbai because I don't specifically buy clothes for seasons. I always dress up very simple.”
Are you shopping a lot this time, since for the last two monsoons we have been stuck at home due to the pandemic? “I do online shopping. My friend has a clothing business, I buy a lot from there. My clothes are anyway way simple. I am not a brand conscious person. I need to feel comfortable in whatever I am wearing. There's no point in buying the most expensive t-shirts or pants which I am not comfortable in. Money or Brand can never replace my choice or comfort,” he states.
Talking about his skincare regime for the monsoons, Vivian shares that it is as simple as his choice of clothes. “Moisturiser and coconut oil are the two things that are very important for me. You should not apply coconut oil on your face if your skin is oily. My skin is dry, so I apply it three times a week. And apart from that, once you remove your makeup, apply any normal face moisturizer after washing your face with a decent clinically approved face wash,” he adds.
