Gamkharu - A Women Association of Mumbai celebrates its 5th anniversary....

Borivali : Mumbai based, an Assamese women association "Gamkharu" working for underprivileged women and children; recently celebrated its 5th anniversary with a multicultural programme in Borivali, Mumbai.
Local Corporator Mrs. Tejasvee Abhishek Ghosalkar and Shiv Sena leader– Mr. Abhishek Ghosalkar commemorated the event by lightening the lamp. Jeuti Phukan and Priti Bhagawati commenced the event with an Assamese prayer ( _Naam Ghukha_ ) During the event, Gamkharu's dossier was inaugurated by honourable chief guest– Mrs. Jutika Mahanta , a well known Assamese woman entrepreneur and social worker.
Along with that, General secretary Geeta Sharma presented the entire vision and mission of the organisation. Also Geeta Sharma's poetry book "Anya Ek Puhor" inaugurated by former Mr. India– Mr. Sadananda Gogoi and Mrs. Meera Sonowal for cherity cause.
The event showcased a dazzling multicultural programme, including a children's dance performance, Bengali dance, Lavani and Assamese folk dance. Celebrated artists– Rupjyoti Devi and Shashwati Phukan graced the event with their melodious voices. Also well known artists, music producers and social workers influenced the event with their presence.
Sreemayee Saikia and Sarmi Gogoi kept the audience engaged throughout the event with their enthusiastic anchoring.
