Anupama Solanki: Pursuing acting is different and becoming a successful actor is totally different

      While OTT has given a platform to almost everyone who wants to join the acting profession, success depends on your hard work, says actress Anupama Solanki. The actress adds that OTT has made it possible for people to achieve their dreams, but effort is required.

    “OTT has opened the gates for everyone who wants to become an actor. Now people can fulfill their dreams. The biggest example is that there are lots of TikTokers doing web series and TV shows,” she says, adding, “Pursuing acting is different and becoming a successful actor is totally different. It’s true, these days that lots of platforms are available and opportunities are coming more and more for new and old actors also. But they need to prove themselves.”

   The younger crop of actors is more responsive, says Anupama, adding, “Younger actors are like me…We are fast and our observations and catching power is more powerful. It’s not that seasoned actors are slow but the new generation is quicker and more energetic. Younger actors are more creative compared to seasoned ones. We are not afraid of doing experiments at all. We love challenges and are ready to do some creative work,” she adds.

      Meanwhile, OTT is known for its realistic storylines. However, the actress says that these stories need to be filtered. “These days people have become more sensitive. I feel that a storyline which has a negative impact on society should be altered in a way that it is not detrimental,” she says.
